As Europe prepares for the northern hemisphere winter, markets across the region will be entering the season with relatively low levels of gas in store. France, the UK, Austria and Germany all have storage levels which are low for the time of year. With declining indigenous supply and LNG imports too expensive for the region, the importance of gas in store for security of supply has increased.
